Scenic bench

In 2011, PROVIDA, in cooperation with the Civic Association PUNKT, organized a competition for young architects and designers in order to boost public areas. Its goal was to design scenic benches, located in the pedestrian zone on the Danube river. 137 designers from various European countries participated, and the jury chose the winner – Slovak designer Helena Berger. Scenic bench project is an example of cooperation of non-profit and business sectors, which together with the Old Town of Bratislava gave an opportunity for young talent to work for the benefit of domestic and foreign users of Bratislava’s public space.
